Windsor is an English town in the county of Berkshire, very close to London and on the south bank of the River Thames.
The town' s most important attraction is the famous Windsor Castle, one of the official residences of the British Royal Family. One can take a guided tour to discover all the secrets of this remarkable castle. One remarkable thing is the world's most famous dollhouse, which belonged to Queen Mary. You can also find here St George's Chapel, a truly beautiful example of late Gothic English architecture.
Another popular attraction in the town is Legoland. This theme park has been built with giant-sized blocks of Lego and is a fun trip to enjoy for all the family.
Windsor is a very beautiful place, surrounded by attractive gardens. It has excellent restaurants, comfortable hotels and a gentle English landscape which has a certain fairytale feel to it.
