Telford is one of the 120 places in Europe that have been declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
It is the most populous city in Shropshire, the capital of which is Shrewsbury. This is one of England’s most rural counties, situated in the mid-west of the country. Telford is on the banks of the Severn River, which effectively divides the region in two, one part being hilly and the other flat.
