Taunton is the largest town in Somerset, England and it is also the administrative centre for the county.
The town has a large variety of outdoor and recreational activities, including the village of Bishops Lydeard. This little place has an old watermill that has been fully restored. You can also visit the Mini Golf or have a fun day out with the family at the Sheppys Cider Farm Centre, a traditional 19th century farm where the main attraction is the cider tasting. It also has a picnic area, a tearoom and a large park where you can enjoy spending time outdoors.
Taunton also has a wide range of cultural activities including the Somerset Cricket Museum and the Somerset Space Walk, a curious model of the solar system along the Taunton Canal. You can also visit Makers, a craft cooperative that makes and sells furniture, basketwork, ceramics, jewellery and painting.
The town also has a theatre and exhibition centre, the Brewhouse Theatre and Arts Centre.
