Stevenage is a town and district in Hertfordshire, England.
It was officially created a New Town just after the Second World War, in 1946, and is currently a prosperous city with lots of companies, shops and places of leisure.
One of the town’s most popular attractions is the Stevenage Museum, where you can find out all about the town’s history in modern facilities.
If you like the outdoors, you can spend a day at the Fairlands Valley Park, an ideal place for walking, having picnics, going for boat trips on a lovely lake, camping and admiring the place’s flora and fauna. The park’s woods and lakes cover 120 hectares. Also worth a visit is the Boxfield gallery of contemporary art, and swimmers will be delighted Stevenage’s swimming centre, which has a 33 metre pool.
