A fine location at the edge of Veracruz's Zocalo. Air conditioning and plumbing function well. My room was comfortable with good amounts of natural light. The hotel delivered excellent value for money. The laundry staff was helpful and courteous. So was the young woman in charge of the business center where guests have use of computers and the internet.
Some staff at the front desk were distant rather than welcoming in their manners. They were not rude, however.
Circulate through the central Zocalo and promenade down the Malecon along the edge of the sea. There are bands of musicians strolling about, looking for patrons who will pay for a song or two. Many restaurant choices are a short walk away. Folk dancers performed in the open air Sunday evening. This is the heart of old Veracruz.
