good location and friendly staff. Would go again although parking is a bit restricted in hotel as it is right by the Lanes. Parked in the carpark at the back of the Brighton centre.

Lovely hotel, great central atrium area with bar, sofas, restaurant area. Perfect for staying with a group as there's lots of space to relax together. Gym and pool a bonus. Rooms a good size - some renovated more recently than others, but all good.
Not the most attractive building from outside
Brighton! Shopping, restaurants, bars, pubs, clubs.....

Very noisy. there was a wedding reception on the sat nite and the disco was far too loud, then probably guests from the wedding were then in the corridor outside our room, banging and swearing and too noisy considering it was 4.30 am!!! Its a shame this has put me off this hotel, i have stayed here before and would have again but will reconsider in future. I would recommend checking first.

Friendly staff
Air conditioning and a lot of electrical or electronic equipment not operating or out of order for a long time (heating, lift, room entrance system).

waited one hour for check in. Room stank of wee, had to get changed to another room. Hotel needs updating. Also other rooms i saw had damp problems and air conditioning that didn;t work. Awful hotel for a 4*

A very comfortable room - we were lucky to have a sea-view. An impressive lobby and very good service. Staff could have been more friendly and the breakfast option could have been a bit cheaper - £15 for breakfast is too much.Overall though a very pleasant stay - I would go back / recommend it.

The room was not clean and shabby. Check-in took a very long time. Computer systems were down, but no extra staff were provided to accomodate for this. At one point, even with a queue of three people and two others at the desk, not a single member of staff was to be seen. No apology was provided for this wait.For a higher end hotel, you would expect far better service and much better quality of room. I will not stay at a Thistle again.
