Hotel St Petersbourg

hotel well located close to and within easy walking distance of the Town Hall square and all other sights in the old town and not far from the public transport nodes to the outlying attractions. On arrival and throughout the reception staff were efficient and courteous. My single room was very large and well furnished. the service and cleaning were excellent. the variety and quality of food at breakfast was very good and as it was for dinner with a good a la carte menu. Un fortunately the menu did not change during my three day stay but there were plenty of good restaurants nearby. I am happy to recommed the Hotel St Petersbourg and would be pleased to visit again.

first impresssions on arrival at the hotel were good and the staff speaking good english were courteous and helpful. There are three flooors but no lift - could be a problem. Our room was on the first floor and although not a porter was not standing by to take our luggage up to our room one was quickly summoned. We booked a de luxe room and it was impressive and worth the little extra. A large and well furnished room. The room service, the attention to detail and cleanliness was excellent. The windows opened a busy street and with no air conditioning the open windows meant that at night there was some street noise. The variety and quality of food at breakfast was good as was the service and the restaurant was equally good perhaps the only critism being that the al a carte menu did not change during the three days that we were there but there plenty of good reataurants within easy walking distance. The location in the old town was very close to the Town Hall square and very convenient for walking to all the sights within the old town and to the public transport serving the peripheral sites of interest.
