Hotel Solis

Su situación es muy buena.

Las instalaciones del hotel son deficientes y anticuadas. Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas, sin apenas muebles. El aire acondicionado funciona bastante mal. El armario no dispone de perchas (1 o 2 según habitación). El cuarto de baño (en realidad no existe baño, solamente ducha) es pequeño y tampoco cuenta con bidet.

El hotel está céntricamente situado, a unos 5 minutos caminando del Coliseo y a otros 5 de la plaza de Venecia. Las distancias a otros monumentos o lugares de interés son cortas. En mi opinión, esta es la principal ventaja de este hotel.

Pleasant staff. Very traditional hotel and in a good central spot.

Room was gloomy and poor lighting. Both the room and en-suite were too small. No tea/coffee making facilities. Continental breakfast was minimalistic on choice. Shower cubicle was in need of replacement. grotty/old looking sealant around the tiles to the shower tray. Would visit Rome again but not at this hotel unless we had a brighter room and a nicer bathroom, oh and even a slightly bigger room. Quite disappointed as this was our first trip to Rome and it was for our wedding anniversary.

An excellent small hotel with friendly staff, right in the heart of Rome. The bedrooms were comfortable and quite spacious, with good bathrooms. Within 2 or 3 minutes walk from the front door are all the major historic attractions of Rome. the location is unsurpassable. We will certainly use this hotel again.

Nothing negative to say.

Explore Rome on foot. Colosseum round the corner; Roman forum across the road. Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps all minutes away, and buses run to the Vatican from close to the hotel also.

Think this hotel is more 2* than 3* rating.

One excellent receptionist - Rita, who was very friendly and helpful. She added value to our holiday by recommending local restaurants and giving general advice on request. The hotel location is superb. Our request to move to a bigger room was granted. The rooms were cleaned regularly with bed linen and towels changed regularly. Access to internet in small reception area seemed useful to some of the guests. Fair value for money.

Prior to arrival, I emailed hotel Solis to check on our reservation, but the email wasn't answered or acknowledged. Breakfast was poor. Only a handful of tables for 17 rooms -so guests had to queue. Cold cofee, limited selection of rolls and croissants, so we sought alternative solutions in the end. Majority of reception staff were unhelpful and didn't acknowledge us as we passed through. One of the reception staff hadn't heard of the Trastavere area in Rome when we asked for quickest to get there and made no attempt to find out or help. Upon our arrival our room was so small and dark we requested a move to a bigger room which was granted. It was pointed out that the only available room was on the road-side of the hotel and was noisy, but this didn't prove to be a problem for us at all. Only tepid water in shower and blocked drain. Hotel staff unblocked thre shower drain but weren't interested in tepid water problem at all. Upon departure, we asked for our bags to be looked after as our request to hold our room for late departure (made at the time of booking) was not possible. When we returned to collect our bags, they had been left unattended in an open public space.

Loads. Good restaurants, excellent central position. 5 minutes walk from Cavour on Metro.

Impolite monolingual staff. I recommen an other hotel in the same area if you are not italian.

Houve um engano, e no primeiro dia, quando chegámos, o hotel estava cheio, pelo que tivemos que passar a primeira noite noutro hotel. Foi um pouco desagradável.

nous avions,3mois à l'avance réservè une chambre pour 2personnes et on nous a installé dans une chambre de 2m sur2m avec un petit lit.il a fallu faire le siege à la rece ption pour changer le deuxieme jour.......les petits dejeuners sont nuls:cafe en poudre,pas de fruits ni yaourts
