    The hotel is not luxury but very homely with great service reception. The rooms are in need of upgrading but this does not deter from the overall pleasure of staying at the Silvermine.

    Maybe they should consider installation of an elevator, carrying bags to the second floor can be hard work although they always offer this service from reception.

    Very welcoming and understanding reception staff ; we arrived very early in the morning after a ong flight and were able to check into our room immediately 8 hours before normal check in time - at no additional cost. Reception and restaurant staff were all very helpful and friendly.

    Catch the ferry to Honk Kong Island, frequent, cheap and efficient service from both fast and normal ferries. China Bear bar by ferry terminal serves good beer and is friendly with strong ex-pat presence. Good local eating next to ferryb terminal and round corner on to hotel. Bike hire available in Wui Lo opposite ferry. OOPS this should be in box below!

    Preisleistungsverhältnis ist für Hong Kong in Ordnung. Es liegt sehr schön im Grünen und ist vom Flughafen mit Bus oder für 150 HKD einfach zu erreichen. Die Fähre nach Honk Kong ist morgens und abends eine angenehme Entspannung.

    Obwohl an den Hotel seit Jahren renoviert und repariert wird, reicht das noch nicht aus den Verschließ zu beseitigen.

    Gut essen (Fisch) und und trinken. Ausflug (ca. 25 Min Busfahrt) zum Budda und die Fahrt mit der Seilbahn wären sehr zu empfehlen.
