Built by the legendary brothers Mr. Guo Le and Mr. Guo Quan, who also established the top shopping centre in old Shanghai, Yong'an Department Store, this 59-room city hotel has enjoyed a celebrated history since 1985. When it was opened, the hotel justifiably earned a reputation as the highest building (19 floors), the most luxurious entertainment venue and the first ballroom in Shanghai. Renovated in 2010, this air-conditioned establishment welcomes guests in a lobby area with 24-hour reception and check-out services. Further facilities include a hotel safe, currency exchange desk, cloakroom, lift access and a café, as well as a supermarket, hairdressing salon, disco, restaurant and conference facilities. Internet access is available in public areas and room and laundry services are provided. Guests arriving by car may leave their vehicles in the hotel car park for an extra fee.
