Well positioned for the city and overall in a great area
No room safe which is unusual for a 4 star and lots of road noise as no secondary glazing

The bar area is pleasant although can be cold with the doors opening and closing ( wear a jacket!) the breakfast was very good.
Upon checking into the hotel we were given our key told where the lift was and sent on our way. No information on the facilities available, breakfast times or where the resturant facilities were. Upon finding our room it was what can be discribed as no more than a shoe box. The room was freezing at temperatures of -2 outside the radiator was turned off. Wallpaper was peeling off in areas, light fittings were damaged, locking mechanisim on the window was damaged and upon locking the door and pulling the chain across the chain fell off the door frame. The bathroom facilites looked quite new and modern however, one of the light fittings was hanging down, the mirror light wasn't operating. The door to the bathroom had no choice but to open outwards as the bathroom was also small, the door was not full size so difficult to get through and we are both average build. If you open the door and someone is next to the bed you get hit by the door ( as my other half found out to his pain) We did try and change rooms but only got offered a twin. We did understand that they were busy due to the time of year but have stayed in better budget hotels.

Good quality hotel.
Room heating was faulty, though temporary arrangments made
Hotel is marginally further from Edinburgh's main attractions than other comparable hotels, but still in the City Centre.

Dark, cold, dirty floors, felt like second rate citizens. very disappointed having booked with you before.Response from staff over the room and things not working negative. Will not go back and will consider not using your site again.

5mins walk to Princes Street,Theatre,cinema pubs etc!Ideally located.
