Hotel Romance Malesherbes

Staff were helpful in general, good location

Breakfast was boring, room was very small, TV in room only had 1 english station which did not work properly.

2 windows in the room allowed for good ventilation in the summer weather. The room was also quaint. The reception staff were pleasant.

The bathroom was filthy, with a toilet that had not been cleaned properly for some time. It smelt of stale urine and had a thick layer or human waste under the rim of the bowl. There were hairs strewn over the bathroom floor. Our drinking glasses were broken by the housekeeper and left, unwashed and jagged, on the broken glass shelf in the toilet. The shower leaked water on to the floor. The towels had been used before and one had earwax (?) on it. The carpet in the room smelt of feet. Virtually no housekeeping was undertaken at all. I made the bed and it remained untouched by the housekeeper. The carpeted stairwell was dirty and didn't appear to get hoovered. The breakfast provided was stingy, most cups on our table were chipped and the hot water was not replenished, so it was impossible to enjoy tea. The fruit juice was watered down. There was a complete lack of choice. Sugary cereal, croissants, cakes and pieces of baguette constituted breakfast - I have had far better continental breakfasts in British hotels (not usually recognised for providing great food). This is the most unpleasant experience I have had in a hotel. The holiday was a present for my Mum's birthday, so we were very upset. I would recommend that people avoid this hotel. The hotel is expensive considering it is of poor quality, and the owners clearly do not care about providing any kind of respectful or professional service.

Dine and drink.

Clean,tidy, small hotel reasonably handy for getting about. Fair selection of small local restaurants cafes and shops about.

Sometimes lack of glasses, plates, cutlery at breakfast. Cereals poor, some muesli instead would be better. Had to sit with other guests. No privacy. Probably because lack of space.

Very nice and competent staff. Good location. Though we did not use it, the kitchenette can be sometimes useful, Hotel is relatively small which gives you a little more of the 'family' spirit.

Shower could be larger and breakfast juice a liitle more juicy. Still it does not matter very much.

Frühstücksbuffet wenig abwechslungsreich, Zimmer eher klein (v.a. kurze Betten)

Metro gut erreichbar, daher kein Problem
