Murrayfield Hotel & Lodge

After we complained about the what i have described below, the hotel very kindly found us another room an up-graded room, very promptly and this is why we have given the hotel the scores we have given them. It was the total opposite to the first room we were in. Nice,clean,spacious,a huge T.V on the wall, and the breakfasts in the morning were quality. When we went back for our bags to the 'awful room' to there credit the staff had organised a team to go in and clean the room. A very enjoyable stay and Edinburgh is a fantastic city.

We were put in what the hotel called a lodge, and when we carted our bags 100yards down the main road from the actual hotel we were disgusted with the building and then the room. The front garden of this building was all overgrown, then walking in to the hallway it stunk of cigarettes, we climbed the stairs and into our room where we were greeted with a dark and dingy room with cobwebs on the ceiling and even worse a very smelly bathroom, which i won't describe what it smelt like.

5 mins bus journey into Edinburgh centre, Zoo nearby, Airport just up the road although no air traffic.

Thoroughly enjoyed my short stay. Service could not be faulted and although I chose not have breakfast it was there for me. I was heading for the airport with two hours to spare there so just had breakfast while I was waiting. I have already recommended the hotel to friends.

I would certainly use this hotel again and recommend it to my friends and family.

For a one star hotel the standard was above expectations and excellent value for money. Travel to/from Edinburgh centyre via public transport very easy.

Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel Konden niet terug vliegen vanwege de sneeuw maandag 1 telefoontje van af het vliegveld en we hadden de zelfde 2 kamers als we er voor hadden gehad, en voor nog 2 stellen was er ook op korte termijn plaats Woensdag gingen er weer geen vliegtuigen en kregen we weer voor 1 nacht de kamers ook heel behulpzaam bij zoeken op internet en het uiotdraaien van de nieuwe tickets

s'nachts gaat de verwarming uit en is het erg koud (enkel glas) in de badkamer na dit te hebben gemeld deden ze hem weer aan

Casteel Winkelstraat muzea erg goede bus verbindingen

Leuke 'beer-garden' met leuk publiek

Hele slechte douche en gehorige kamer aan de parkeerplaats

bien situé entre centre ville et aéroport arrêt bus devant l'hôtel

un peu bruyant car pub juste en dessous des chambres qui sont sur le devant de l'hôtel

goed eten in het de bijhorende pub tegen mooie prijs
