Excellent position if you are ok with a bit of a climb back from the town. Its not the end of the world though as taxis and trams are available readily. Ultra modern hotel of an excellent standard.
Has a few restaurants and bars within the grounds but beware the one that you go underground to tucked away round the corner at the side of the church, very expensive and food only average 1800 check crowns for 2 people. There is so much better value and quality around you really are spoilt for choice.
Charles bridge is a must and the old town is everything you would expect. Particular note to the vintage cars that offer a tour of the town for 1200/1300 check crowns, next time i will definitely use one, they are so cool.

Very nice rooms with up to date bathroom facilities. The views from the monastery are unbelievable! It was quiet, charming and has a brewery and 2 very good restaurants right there on the grounds. The staff helped with everything including an internet cable to plug in my laptop, currency exchange and arranging for a taxi. The # 22 tram is just outside, so travel up & down the hill into town is very simple. I would highly recommend staying at Strahov monastery, and would go back in an instant!
This is not a negative, just a heads up. The upper, third floor rooms have been renovated and are very modern, but you must climb stairs to get up to the bed. It is sort of a "stacked" situation where a nice desk, office space, bathroom is on the first level, and the bed is upstairs in a lovely garret space. Extremely charming, but for younger legs than mine, especially if you get up in the night.
Prague Castle is an easy 5 minute walk, and Old Town Hall is about 15 minutes, as is the old Jewish quarter with its famous graveyard. Everything is easily accessible, and be sure to walk the trails which run south just below the Monastery.

Delighful position, lovely quite environment. Staff 1st Class.
Ceiling height in bedroom a big problem Booked a double bed but it had a uncomfortable twin
Everything was within easy reach of the Hotel, except the Monastry Church which one is not able to visit and see, If one could then it would be wonderful

Breakfast very good and lots of choice. Internet good but you cannot access Microsoft Hotmail. Location is really good and the 22 tram stops just outside.
We had a broken lamp which w e had to complain about twice. Eventually it was taken away and not replaced. This meant that the room was a bit dark for reading. We asked for a view and instead got a dowstairs room with no view. we had paid extra for a luxury room.

try a walking tour, 24 hour use of the transport system will cost 100 crowns ( timed from the first use of your travel card ) single journey 18 crowns. cab from the airport 20 pounds sterling or 525 crowns. eating and drinking slightly off the main tourist places is cheaper ( one place wanted 150 crowns for a beer - another round the corner 35 ! ) if i returned then the monastery garden would be my first choice.
a little gem. we were staying in room 31 a split level room with a view of the monastery. the bells rang at 6.00 am each morning but hey, that's all part of the charm. breakfast was pretty good too. fresh bread, eggs, cereal and yoghurts. lovely views over prague from right outside your door. i would return and recommend the hotel to friends. reception staff all speak english.

take tram 22 from the top of the hill and get off after four stops at malostranska, catch the metro three stops to muzeum and you are in wenceslas square. if you leave the hotel and turn right, through the archway and turn right again walk down the hill, on your left you will see a restaurant with the sign of a teapot above it. try it - wonderful food and very cheap. the old town square is lovely especially at night.

Excellent position if you are ok with a bit of a climb back from the town.
Its not the end of the world though as taxis and trams are available readily. Ultra modern hotel of an excellent standard.

Trato de los empleados y situacion privilegiada del hotel en cuanto a vistas, tranquilidad y enclave
No es un hotel, sino un hostal. Las habitaciones que nos dieron eran buhardillas pequeñas y dejaban mucho que sesear. Limpiza correcta.
