The hotel has been built and designed by leading architects with an emphasis on light and natural space, offering some of the most stunning views of Amsterdam over the beautiful harbour and the river IJ, and the traditional historic old town. The city hotel was built in 2011 and has 553 guest rooms on offer. The premises are air-conditioned and have a lobby with 24-hour reception service. Facilities at the hotel include a cloakroom, currency exchange, hotel safe and lift access to the upper floors. Guests can dine in the café, one of the three bars or one of the four restaurants on site. There are 18 conference facilities for business travellers as well as wireless Internet access. Guests can take advantage of the hotel's room and laundry services (additional fees apply to both). Those arriving by car may park their vehicles in the hotel's garage or car park (parking fees apply). Moreover, guests can also hire bicycles during their stay.

Located on the riverfront and next to the central train station, the hotel is within easy reach of a host of local attractions, including the Rijksmuseum, Leidseplein, and the Anne Frank and Van Gogh museums. It is a perfect base from which to enjoy all that Amsterdam has to offer. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is about 20 km from the hotel.
