It was a nice hotel, well positoned with very friendly staff and very clean. It could do with some paint and newer bathrooms (well ours could) but in Cuba this may not be a very easy or cheap resource to get. The swimming pool was very nice to. Choice of dining was good too.
Staff very frindly and hotel very clean. Our room was very spacious. Everything on the doorstop so no need for Taxi's in the daytime.
Our ensuite was very tired with little or no hot water at times, air con noisy but the room was very spacious. I was not too sure about the room safe as instead of a key or code it worked by using the keycard which made me nervous as any number of them could be produced. Breakfast waiters a bit relunctant to act on requests for replacement crockery and foodstuffs in a timely fashion.
Right in Old Havana so really well placed, the only downside is that you are hassled as soon as you walk out the door but 'no gracias' seemed to work OK. Floridita's around the corner.

Charming lobby, good central location
Check-in was time-consuming even without any queue, check-in staff friendly but lacking competence. Breakfast nothing special but bar food better. Room could have been cleaner. All in all, expensive for money spent.

Good location---reception staff helpful--liked the pool
Thought breakfast very poor---chaotic, poor selection of breads etc and rather untidy looking---had been led to expect we would eat in rooftop rest

Meget smukt hotel og ligger centralt.
Vi blev indkvateret i et meget lille og mørkt værelse. Vi bedte om et nyt værelse, men det fik vi ikke da der var optaget. Dette tiltrods for at vi booket i god tid...

Mooi, sjiek hotel.
Kleine kamer, badkamer wat brak en klein. Geen minibar en geen drinkwater in de kamer.
Afstand naar Havana vieja is om te lopen best ver.
Standard of service and food in Cuba is poor due to the fact that almost everything is government-owned and there is little competition, so there is little to be gained by spending more than necessary for a room
Location
Room had leaky taps, slight flooding in bathroom, insecure room door, no lamps, no minibar, no hairdryer. Sadly, three other rooms offered were no better. The rooms desperately need refurbishment. The hotel's public areas are pretty lifeless. How different it looks in the wonderful photos from years gone by on the walls.
