Easy to find and great value for money given it's location not far from Broad Street
Staff were not very friendly. I can't remeber them smiling once or wishing me a pleasant stay or asking if I'd enjoy my stay.
There are a few pubs/restaurants near the hotel but Broad Street and Brindley Place are a walkable distance (short taxi ride) where there is plenty to do.

the cost of the hotel was reasonable, the standard of the hotel is good, the problem is the heat in the rooms and the noise from the plant rooms and builders work.
within walking distance of broard street restaurants and bars. breakfast was great food and good value at £10 as it is buffet style, continental and full english.
building work was going on on my floor (6th) and about 20 yards from my door, so when the work started at 7-30am there was no chance of sleep or relaxation. the room I had faced into the inside of the hotel withe other windows opposit, only drawing the curtains gave you privacy. The room was very warm with no air con and the windows only opened an inch, the noise from the plant rooms on the roof meant you couldn't leave the windows open
small shops and take aways within 150 yards, broard street a 10 minute walk.
