Built in 1950, the guest house provides good value simple budget accommodation in the heart of Glasgow city centre. It comprises a total of 81 rooms. Guests are welcomed in the lobby, which offers a 24-hour reception and a 24-hour check-out service, as well as a TV lounge with no-smoking area, a breakfast/dining room, WLAN Internet access and a car park.

The decorous bedrooms are comfortably furnished and include satellite/cable TV, direct dial telephone and a hospitality tray as standard. Guests can choose en-suite Plus-Standard rooms with shower, bath and hairdryer or the more economical Standard room where bathroom facilities are shared. In the family rooms there is one double bed and a single bed. In the quad rooms there is one double bed and 2 single beds. The rooms also have tea and coffee making facilities and heating.

At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit into the entry ramp to Edinburgh, Glasgow -M8. Merge into M8. Take the A82 exit to Dumbarton. Bear left onto the ramp to Aberfoyle/A81. Turn left at Saint George's Road then turn left at Sauchiehall Street, turn left at Garnet Street, turn left at Buccleuch Street, continue on Renfrew Street, arrive at McLays G3 6TT.
