well located centrally
rather "non-caring" approach of staff
Venice at your feet

nice location down town
no internet. rooms without charm...far from the super webpage. Quite disappointed overall. No lift to go to the recpetion...3 floors !! ...and nobody will help you for your luggage. B'fast starts at 8am only...and no way to get them to start earlier.

location of the hotel was perfect for being so close to St. Marc's Square
It was unclear on arriving where the front door of the hotel was. Once inside there was 3/4 flights of stairs to take to get to reception. Staff on desk were not particularly professional. The room was a lovely size, but very run down and the bathroom was in a very poor condition. This 'hotel' was supposed to be 3/4star?.. no way. I would say 2star max. There were not even tea/coffee making facilities in the room, nor a welcoming folder/information in the room. No fire safety information sheets either.
Great location - easy to find way to either San Marc square or Rialto Bridge. Definately best way to see Venice is to get lost!!!

Reception/lounge very elegant, with view over Campo S.Maria Formosa. Palazzo built in 1484.
Difficult to gain access on arrival. Many stairs to reception/rooms -no lift.
Convenient to reach all parts of Venice. Good restaurants nearby. Campo is quiet, away from crowds.

Good location, only five minutes from St Marks square and Rialto bridge.
I was given a small room with no view and the fittings were all past there best. it was however clean and the bathroom has had a recent refurb. There is no SAT TV and one of the light fittings was not working. Breakfast was a rather poor affair, there is no hot buffet. The entrance is down a small side street and then up two flights of stairs, not suitable for the elderly or disabled.
Pleany of small bars and restaurants nearby, only minutes walk from St Marks Square and Rialto bridge.

It truly is beautiful!
They have a buzz-in system which is very inconvenient if you have not checked in or have checked out. We had checked out and left our luggage with the front desk, but could not collect our luggage when we came back. We buzzed and rang the bell and although we could hear the front desk workers talking amongst themselves, they wouldn't let us in. We were outside trying to get in to the hotel for over five minutes and were starting to panic when, by chance, guests of the hotel passed us and tried to use their key to let us in. Unfortunately their key broke in the door, but they buzzed once and were let in immediately to my annoyance! And one of the front desk workers was beyond RUDE from check-in until check-out.
Lot's of shopping and eating and beautiful buildings/scenery.
