Hotel Madison

Céntrico y tranquilo, ideal para moverse por Roma.

Excellent ubication, quick check in-check out.

There was a funny smell in the room. The room was also very warm and the AC didn´t cool the environment.

Helpfull staff at reception. Hotel is right next to coach stop for Rome airport (aswell as main train station). Several resonable budget restaurants close by.

Window to room looked onto a lightwell and would only partly open.

Not in the heart of old Rome but close (walking distance) to some of the sights. City buses and metro very close by.

breakfast room was chaos! breakfast food poor quality but plenty of it.

Reception staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. A good wide choice at the buffet continental style breakfast, although the coffee could have been better, surprising for Italy, but we found the coffee wasn't very good at many of the cafes.The room was a bit 'tired' but good at the price, it was kept very clean by the cleaning staff. The air conditioning didn't work which wasn't needed in April, opening the windows for a while to cool the room down did the trick - but this might be a problem in the summer as the hotel is very warm.Whilst dark in the room with the shutters closed [it is possible to open them] the triple glazing kept out the noise from outside.Toilet/shower room facilities were good. Although not in a very 'upmarket' part of Rome, being right alongside Termini station and the main bus interchange it's in a great position for arriving/departing and travelling around the City.A clean hotel with a good breakfast, fairly basic, but all in all we thought it was very good value for money

Room 366 occupied by friends was extremely cramped with only a small bathroom with tiny shower area . Very poor value for 140 euros per night. Breakfast was pretty elementary with no variation over 4 days.

En plein centre de Rome, Départ des bus touristiques à proximité.

bruyant car juste en face la gare de Rome. Les chambres pour 4 personnes sont petites. Pas de parking dans l'hotel. Difficile de se faire comprendre à la reception si on ne parle pas l' italien.

Bus touristiques au pied de l'hotel qui propose des circuits pour voir tous les monuments.

Da unser Flug wegen eines Streiks in Rom storniert wurde, konnten wir nicht anreisen. Trotz rechtzeitiger Absage direkt im Hotel hat das Hotel uns 70 GBP in Rechnung gestellt und von der Rückerstattung in Abzug gebracht. Wir werden das Hotel Madison zukünftig in keiner Weise weiterempfehlen und Interessierten abraten, dort zu buchen. Die Umtriebe mit der Rückerstattung und die Einsichtslosigkeit der Hoteldirektion haben uns enttäuscht und verärgert. Bis heute kam auf etliche E-Mails an die Hoteldirektion keine Antwort. MFG B.
