Service and food good.

ROOM DECOR DATED BUT ADEQUATE. No car parking facilities at the hotel but short distance away.

Racecourse and restaurants.

Large dining room with all but two tables occupied. Waitress wanted us to sit in the middle table with one couple either side when the rest of the dining room was empty and other tables already prepared for breakfast. More thought should go into customer's privacy and comfort when dining whenever possible.

Pleasant atmosphere. Staff helpful. Central location. Very comfortable beds. Nice bathroom with power shower. Good breakfast.

Room was clean but not dusted. There were hairs on the bedside table etc. As a single traveller I had did not receive the same level of service at breakfast as couples / groups. Since I paid the same price as couples I requested a double room but was given a twin. My room had no view. I know that single travellers usually get a worse deal than couples so I specifically asked for a nice room.

The hotel is in the centre of Chester, in a side street off the main shopping street. Historic sites to see as it is a Roman town. The races. Excellent shopping. Afternoon tea, coffee shops and all manner of dining options in abundance.

Nice reception area, lovely rooms and helpful staff. Good location too. Would definitely stay again.

Very clean, staff v professional. Beautiful hotel interior. Location is ideal for town centre. Breakfast very varied and tasty.

Bedroom window view was of a brick wall. No double glazing so could hear lots of noise from street at night. We booked a double room however had 2 single beds pushed together. Fixed headboards that had very protruding corners were dangerous as they weren't in line with the beds.

Manager was very efficient and helpful. Room was clean and adequate. Hotel is ideally situated for town centre.

Shower and toilet did not work properley at peak times. Window did not close. Bar was tiny and closed by eleven o'clock.

Very friendly staff and brilliant location.

Lift out of order for some of the time and automatic front door not working so lobby/hall area freezing!
