Hotel Locanda Conterie

La amabilidad del personal y la terracita para desayunar.

Las habitaciones no tenían casi luz natural, daban a un patio. No nos alojaron en el edificio del hotel, nos llevaron a otro edificio, cerca del principal. La fachada nos asustó, pero por dentro estaba muy bien. En este edificio no hay barreras arquitectónicas, pero para subir al comedor, que está en el edificio principal, hay escaleras. Es la única pega que le veo a la hora de alojar a personas mayores. Nosotros estuvimos encantados.

Comer, estupendamente, en una terraza al borde del canal.

Since you have paid for the vaporetto to get to Venice proper, you might as well go all the round to the other side. Probably you ought to stop at the cemetary island at least once, too.

Location is great, easy walk from the vaporetto (including airport boat); Murano is a lovely quiet place to stay, away from the bustle of Venice proper. Having to get the vaporetto every time you want to go anywhere else has its good side as well. We would go there again. There don't seem to be any other hotels on Murano (though I could be wrong) so the Conterie is the one! The air conditioning worked. We would recommend it too.

Room was small, but this is Venice, so that isn't a complaint! However, the beds were made up separately and kept moving away from each other! The shower was diabolical: water shot out horizontally from the side of it, and the hot took very long to arrive so you turned it right up, then the cold took very long to arrive so you got scalded. The wifi was extremely slow, and not cheap. The wifi was the worst thing. The staff were rather brusque and we got the impression that complaining about anything was pointless. However, they were very knowledgable (about where to take the vaporetto, how to pay etc) and spoke good English. Breakfast was "very Italian", just enough to take the edge off and get you to the pastry shop near the vaporetto stop.

Stroll around and feel the peacefulness of Murano, enjoy the lack of cars and even people. Go to the glass museum. Window-shop and buy glass. Take the vaporetto: to Burano, to Venice proper.

Nice quiet location and very clean. Excellent aircon in rooms and good water pressure. Staff friendly and speak good english.

The breakfast was very basic.

Murano is a peaceful island, good to go back there to escape the busy tourist centres and its cheaper to eat. Excellent restaurant right next to Museo Vaporetto stop, they do fantastic coffee.

The Hotel appeared clean

Breakfast was appalling. No Coffee for the two days we were there (coffee machine broken). The fruit juice (another machine) was poor. Cereals had to be eaten out of a cup, no cereal bowls. The only other food was individually wrapped toast or croissants, both of poor quality. There was no butter for the toast. During our time in Italy we stayed in six hotels, all three star. The Venice Hotel breakfast was by far the worst.

L'hôtel est parfait tant au niveau de l'acceuil, que de la décoration ainsi que du confort

Le petit déjeuner est vraiment décevant, il n'y a pas tellement de choix et la qualité des produits proposés est très moyenne

visiter les verreries et les différents monuments de l'île et Venise tout proche

Das sogenannte Frühstück war ein Witz. das Zimmer eine etwas grössere Abstellkammer.

L'hôtel est situé dans un endroit calme reposant et dépaysant toutefois il pourraît être fait un effort au niveau du petit déjeuner.

Not a poor hotel per se, but room was next to reception and courtyard, with noise from these areas preventing sleep in the morning. Also, the room smelled distinctly of mold whenever windows had been closer for a few minutes. Breakfast was ok, but very small. Overall, the hotel did not really represent value for money.
