Great position, yards from the beach. Extremely clean. Excellent value for money. Our 4th visit, will go again.

Entertainment not as good and varied as previous years, but still OK.

Perfect position for the beach, park and bars.

Benalmadena Costa itself is showing signs of the credit crunch or "la crisis" as they say. Along the seafront to the Marina you have to run the gauntlet of people trying to intice you into their restaurant. Itinerant musicians, if you can call them that, visit bars looking on to the sea front. You don't have to give them anything but you may also think they are trying to make a living; unemployment is 17% in Spain. Despite the exchange rate you can find reasonably priced drinks and snacks so Spain is not as expensive as some media comment would suggest. They are desperate to keep our custom!

Fantastic value for money. Better than hotels we paid a lot more for. We appreciated the more intimate atmosphere of a smaller hotel. The Staff paid every attention to detail to ensure all was done most correctly. Scrupulously clean and food amazing. Pool and garden area very well kept and usually quite peaceful. The situation near a busy road never bothered us. We had asked for a room facing west for the afternoon sun and got it.

We can not really find any fault. There could have been a better beer in the bar but this is only due to our personal taste and no reflection on the hotel. The pool area is up some steps as it is on the roof of the bar. Wheelchair access is not provided and people with children in buggies have difficulty.

This was a nice quieter area (not counting the main road). Plenty of small bars & restaurants sensibly priced nearby with happy hours - turn right leaving the hotel and right again at the roundabout, some shops and a large supermarket are 4-500 metres up this road. Paloma Park, a well kept small animal and bird sanctuary can be reached by turning left out of the hotel, left again and up the hill. A lovely walk in the morning. The main seafront walk leads to the Puerto Marina to the left and Torrequebrada area to the right. Buses run in both directions from almost right outside the hotel, these are cheap and reliable. From here you can get to Torremolinos, Malaga, Fuengirola, Mijas and Benalmadena Pueblo. If you walk to the "windmill" roundabout to the left and then left up the hill you can reach Arroyo de la Miel with lots of bars, restaurants and shops and a train station on the Fuengirola/Malaga line. We are a bit old for discos but these are well provided in the Marina area about 2 km away. Of course the beach is right across the road but the sand can be dirty as there is not tide to clean it and sun beds are 4 euros 50 cents a day so we didn't bother but you can just have a swim in the sea and return to the pool area.

An excellent hotel in a good location. The public rooms are very clean and comfortable, as was our bedroom. The evening entertainment was excellent. The quality buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful. The hotel is situated just across from the beach. Would definitely use this hotel again.

    The drinks are dear.

    Beach, some shops and restaurants
