This is a reasonably comfortable and quiet hotel which is good for small children or middle-aged people and older who want an unobtrusive and peaceful break. But it's expensive for what it is - the owners really do need to consider upgrading the beds, furniture and facilities in the rooms. I've stayed in $60 motel rooms (a quarter of what we paid at the Kalamaki) which were better equipped.
The hotel is quiet, clean, and well-located (easily reached by road, and it's right by the sea). It isn't frequented by heavy drinkers or teenagers which is a major plus. The food is pretty good and abundant - breakfast is especially good. The views are excellent.
The rooms are quite basic for the price. The beds feel cheap and small and are poor compared to which is now routine in US motels charging half or a third of the price. There were no tea/coffee facilities in-room and no information about availability of room service in the room (or indeed any information at all). There was no additional furniture in the room beyond a desk and chair. There is only a portable TV in the room. Wireless internet is available but only in the lobby and the connection speed is spectacularly slow.
Many historical sites such as Epidauros, Corinth, Mycenae, Tiryns, and Nemea, but these require a car or paying out for an excursion.
