Good value considering the price.

Although we were guests of the hotel and there were staff and other guests still in the bar when we returned to the hotel there was no room service available and we could not get any food or water to take to our room. Whilst I appreciate it was quite late I have never been refused service at a hotel where I have been staying as a guest.

Two things. 1, I thought they should have wi-fi in the price. At £10 a day a bit pricey. 2. While breakfast is nice some of the ingrediants are not the best.

The staff were all pleasant. The breakfast 'booking in' was straightforward, it was lovely to be served the cooked breakfast, rather than self-service. Good to find a Gideon's bible already in the room, and not to have to request one. Our rooms were satisfactory and adequate. This is one of the better 3 star hotels we have stayed in.

The parking arrangements were not what I was led to believe. The car park was unbelievably difficult to reach, because of the one way system in Croydon. The hotel could only be approached by driving round in circles for miles and miles, or taking the direct approach by driving down a bus lane. I had requested both when I booked online, and when I phoned the day before our stay, to have our rooms next to each other. Neither message had reached reception when we booked in. The soap and shampoo provided were cheap and rough on the skin.

The Whitgift shopping centre was 2 minutes away, with an underpass going under the dual carriageway making it easily accessible. The high street shops were just the other side of the Whitgift. The train station was a 10 minute walk the other direction - very easy.

Staff attitude to customers are most commendable, particularly for me and my family. I was also very impressed with a staff firm but polite system of calming a drunk at the reception, when we were checking out on saturday, 30/08/08 at about 11am. I almost regret that your hotel was too far from london since I came with my family but my wife and I were satisfied with your staff politeness. Please keep the standard up and be rest assured, I will recommend your hotel to most of my friends. we travel alot. Frank.

For the price the room was clean and spacious, and the bathroom was a good size. The restaurant has a good menu and the food was of a good quality, and the service was excellent.

The cooked breakfast should start at 0630 to cater for guests who have early appointments.

Staff very helpful. Parking a bit of a problem, but was nice to see that they have made arrangements with Car Park across road. Breakfast very good and access to take away meals via reception a nice bonus!One query- Pull out bed setee was erected whilst we were out for the day, no real need for this as it would have been nice for it to remain a sofa to sit on.

This is my third trip to Jurys Croydon and I find it to be centrally located for my needs, near trains etc. My only negative comment is about the access to broadband - we had to buy an hours worth of credit that had to be used in one go. We wanted 24hr access but were told that we had to keep plugged in for 24 hours without switching off our laptop. We could not do that as the electricity switches off on exiting room and the laptop would not hold its charge to ensure broadband connection remained. Although we paid in cash for the internet access, we were billed again at checkout. Would wireless not be a better option?
