    Ideally and very closely located near Basel Congress Center. Also close to downtown and railway station (German railway station within 5 minutes walking distance). Comforable bed with good mattress.

    Furnishing not very tasteful, old fashioned bathroom, but everything functional.

    An excellent hotel at a reasonable price. Good spacious room with excellent bathroom and shower. Convenient location - trams just nearby - and brilliant arrangement that the city has for hotels to issue a free travel pass for your stay.

    1.Room access on 5th floor,walking across a balcony through metal doors...felt more like vault or prison doors. 2.Breakfast very poor. 3.Access after 11 only with a key....if more than 2 of you,you still only get 1 key..if you then need access,ask the owner of the kebab shop nexr door. 4.Plumbing in Bathroom very noisy.

    Bar Rouge is about 300 Metres away...Top Floor looks over whole city.

    Excellent service all round...This is the second time using Hotel Alexender in Basel and I will continue to use when in that area.I would recommend it to everyone...I thanked the staff on my departure but if you could tell them again I would appreciate it...Thank you for a great stay.
