reception staff very friendly. room small but very clean, quite dark too with only a small window

very close to railway station, close to princess street, lots of bars and restaurants close by

Outside noise could be a problem for light sleepers if room in front of hotel.
Very spacious room with large comfortable bed
Rather noisy with taxi rank outside. Shower water pressure poor.
Restaurants and only 15 minutes walk to Princess Street.

Very friendly and helpful staff
Although the bedroom was fine (draughty windows mind) the bathroom was surprisingly shabby around the bath and also the bath pole. Would have also expected bath robes.
Close to the centre of town so plenty of access to things to do.

good location, first impressions very good.
Feels very tired, like someone has tried papering over the cracks. Bed was uncomfortable and squeaked. Food was very average. Didnt feel like a hilton. No way a 4 star hotel.
princess street is about 20mins walk. very close to haymarket station if you are arriving by train.

The location is fine about a 15 minute walk from princes street.
The hotel has just recently been renovated however the rooms were not of the Hilton standard in my opinion. The room did not have a heating or air conditioning system and the windows were old and rattled every time traffic passed (which which every 10 seconds). The windows clearly were not double glazed as you could hear every single noise from outside which is not ideal when you are looking to relax.

Really freindly staff who were more than happy to help.
Hot water pressure was pretty bad considering this is a 4-star hotel.

The Hilton is supposed to be a 4 Star, however I wouldn't give it 2 stars.
My partner and I found everything about the hotel excellent. All staff were very welcoming. Rooms were clean comfortable and
nicely furnished. We have already recommended this hotel to friends.

We were in Edinburgh for the Tattoo, before we went there we went to the Edinburgh Dungeons (very good). We also watched some of the Fringe acts. So much to see but so little time (We will have to return).
