The realisation is the result of a striking renovation of the former headquarters of the Teutonic Order. This block of buildings, locally known as the Duitse house, dates from the 14th century. Emperor Charles V stayed here, together with his sister, Maria of Hungary, and attended the Chapter Meeting of the Order of the Golden Fleece in 1546. These names with historic importance are proudly remembered in this magnificent building.

All beds feature quilts and satellite/cable TV, a radio, a safe and individually adjustable air conditioning and heating are provided in all accommodation as standard. Those coming on the A28 to Utrecht by car should take the exit signposted Centrum, continue to Centrum West and from Catharijnesingel turn right at the first traffic lights. After crossing the bridge, take a left into Geertebolwerk (cul-de-sac). The hotel is located at the end of the street.
