i wouldnt stay longer than a night

staff were pleasant enough and hotel was clean

in serious need of decorating and updating plus the hotel held to many younger idiots shouting dirty remarks out the windows. i suggest in future you have mature couples only of a certain age.

    unsure of what was near

The reservation did not show the name of the hotel so consequently we wasted time and petrol looking for it. Suggest you add the name as the guy we rang didn't know it either! The Swallows Hotel just in case you're not told.

Food excellent, staff friendly and efficient

The bedroom badly needed decorating. The bathroom needed repairs and an extractor fan-there was a hole where there used to be one.

Room was good. Was especially pleased iron and board in room and not an ironing room. Enjoyed breakfast, a good selection offered. Check in easy. Secure parking. £5 taxi into town. Would come back.

Stayed in room facing front doors. Bit noisy at times. Bed was very uncomfortable. Not so horrendous that I wouldn't stay again. What's a nights sleep?!!

Great value for money. Room clean.

Staff not the friendliest, except the night porter.

Shopping, drinking, eating, what more do you want?

Although hotel itself lacks facilities its deffiantely good for the price @ £45 per room with Breakfast. Asked to stay another night Swallow charge £80 that would be very unreasonable.

Convenient 20 mins walk into town, loads of busses , clean and comfortable , staff polite. Good breakfast.

Stayed in this hotel 10 yrs ago was excellent, Decor now very tired, there was a coment form in our room someone had filled in 3 weeks ago, with a space for fualts to be fixed- the faults were still the same.

Short walk to Tyne and bridges and town/nightlife. Great little pub next door really cheap.

I would not stay at this hotel again and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Very close to the Metro Centre.

The hotel advertised leisure facilities, however upon arrival we were advised that they had closed their leisure facilities. We were looking forward to these facilities and if we had been advised of this at the time of booking we would not have chosen this hotel. The hotel is need need of upgrading as it's very shabby.

    Visit the Metro Centre.

Nowhere on the easyjet invoice did it say the name of the hotel, we thought it was Gateshead but that was the area which caused some confusion upon arrival in Newcastle.
