For a base from which to explore Munich this hotel was adequate, its central location and value for money going someway towards making up for its slightly rundown appearance and lack of facilities.

The hotel is ideally situated for guests wishing to visit central Munich being only a 5 minute walk from the main train station and about the same from Karls Platz where the main shopping area begins. Reception/restaurant staff were friendly and efficient and the rooms and public areas were clean and tidy.

The bedroom and ensuite were both much smaller than would normally be expected of a 4 star hotel. The restaurant only seemed to open for breakfast which consisted of a fairly basic buffet and the 'bar' consisted of a drinks serving area within the restaurant with no separate seating area where you could relax and enjoy a drink. The decor was a bit tired looking and the exterior of the building was under renovation with noisy building work starting at 7 o'clock in the morning. Overall facilities fell far short of what I would expect in a 4 star hotel - 2 star would be nearer the mark.

Old fashioned hotel, in need of upgrading. But clean and friendly. Only drawback is its location. We chose it for as ease of access to the railway station, but had to navigate the red light district to make our way to it!

Ich hatte einen Super Aufenthalt hier und werde sicher wieder kommen. Ich kann das Haus jedem empfehlen, der einen Städtetrip nach München plant. Die Lage ist unschlagbar, das Personal extram freundlich.

Nette und gute Auskunft an der Rezeption zwecks Wegbeschreibung und Nutzung öffentlicher Verkehrsmittel.

Frühstücksbüffet war schnell geplündert und man mußte lange auf Nachschub warten,manches wurde auch gar nicht nachgelegt.

The classification of this hotel as four star is misleading for those in the UK. Although the hotel is clean the staff friendly and the service and food at breakfast is good, its facilities and room is not four star. It is very noisy when ones room is road side and their is no air conditioning, so hot if widows are shut at night to reduce traffic noise. Service is not 24 hour as reception is closed between mid night and 7.0am.
