Hotel De Madrid

Very nicely decorated and location. staff friendly, especially the gentlemen on reception tuesday evening.

The third 'bed' was poor, and very uncomfortable. we all came home with bite marks from insects from room!

location was perfect for main street, beach and just a short walk to everything we needed.

The toiletries and compliments tray were not replenished at all during our 4 night stay, we actually had to ask for coffee when we arrived. A couple of mornings the choice in the breakfast room was extremely limited. Staff friendly and helpful. Air conditioning fabulous and extremely quiet!!

We had no tea and coffee facilities which would have been appreciated.

Excellent service at hotel and good position for trams and trains. Only negative was size of shower - very small.

It is next to the Train Station and the area does not seems to be very safe!!!

Good value hotel with huge and well decorated room. Cleanliness was excellent.

Lift broke down on second day requiring a member of our party with a lung condition to struggle up to 3rd floor room. These things happen but the staff were not particularly helpful in answering my question as to when the lift would be repaired.

This was a very unpleasant hotel reception looked great but unfortunately just a short way up the stairs and there was a dramatic change. I would never book a Best Western hotel again. The staff were not pleasant apart from the chap who checked us in. All in all a mistake.

Pleasant, clean room. The surrounding area can be fairly noisy. The staff were most helpful and accommodating, and the hotel is in a prime location for both the station and the main shopping street (which in turn leads to the beach). Would happily stay here again.
