The rating about my room at 3 was on the basis that it was dark and somewhat claustrophobic. I did ask for a quiet room and was given that for which I was grateful. (There was a certain amount of noise late at night from neighbours but that felt acceptable). Given the high temperature and the fact that I was trying to do a lot, it was lovely to come back to a cool, clean room to relax. The air conditioning was much appreciated. Though the room and fittings were well worn, I thought a good standard of cleanliness mae the stay pleasant and relaxed. Having breakfast on my own in my room (rather than a dining room) was a bit lonely. I would have preferred to eat in another room. The staff were helpful and kind and very accomodating. I appreciated their professionalism. The reason I rated price - quality at 4 (rather than 5) was mainly for little things. I had expected to be able to make a cup of tea in my room but there were no facilities for this. Also,there was little provision for hanging clothes which I found was a disadvantage. The location of the hotel was a definite plus for me. Thanks to all the staff for a very good experience.

Stayed there for 4 nights but would not recommend to anyone. Room was dark and depressing, air conditioning wasn't working, bed cover dirty and smelly, built-in wardrobe had bits of concrete inside, bathroom quite clean but had damaged walls and ceiling which was hidden under some panels. Fresh towels everyday, but the floor was not cleaned on a daily basis. It's ok just to sleep there, but don't expect you will wake up in a happy mood. 2 stars are definitely too much.

hello, after booking your hotel we read TripAdvisor which was quite pessimistic - however we found that the Dante Hotel was (although by no means grand) VERY good value for money, EXTREMELY central, VERY hospitable (especially the reception staff, one of whom is English, and full of helpful advice and directions) the breakfast orange juice always cold, croissant and baguette jam butter always fresh. It represented great value for money.jenny wade and rosemary houghton tunbridge wells. (not at all 'disgusted')

the light in the bathroom didnt work the shower leaked and made a terrible noise there was no mirror in the room other than the bathroom - the saving grace was that the sheets were clean and so were the towels - the staff were pleasent and helpful

Great value for money. Ideal for a budget trip to Nice.
