Hotel Croydon Park

Reservé con mucho tiempo y relación calidad-precio era excelente. Sin mucho gasto estuvimos en un hotel de 4 estrellas, con una habitación muy amplia y desayuno. La localización nos resultó magnífica. Desde que salíamos de la habitación hasta la estación Victoria no tardábamos más de media hora (15 min de tren, 200m a la estación), y la tarjeta de transporte costaba muy poco más que la de moverse por el centro. Nos resultaba estupendo después de un día recorriendo Londres volver por la tarde a un sitio tranquilo, con un parque al lado.

Las sábanas estaban directamente sobre el colchón, y en mi cama, el colchón muy sucio y maloliente. No arreglaron el problema hasta la tercera vez en que lo dije, esta vez gritando, y nos cambiaron a otra habitación. Nadie del personal hablaba castellano, ni siquiera entendía algo.

The Receptionists at Croydon Park Hotel gave us a professional yet friendly welcome and completed the formalities very quickly. We were given interconnecting bedrooms as we were travelling as a family. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The bathroom was a little dated but was also spacious and very clean. There was plenty of hot water with a good flow at the shower. Pool and leisure facilities are available to hotel guests. The only meal taken was breakfast. There was a large choice at the buffet and the platters were constantly topped up. The décor and ambiance of the restaurant was also very good and with first class service. The Hotel was only a 5-10 minute walk to East Croydon Station and only 16-18mins to Victoria (from memory - using an Oyster card the journey was £4:20 and £2:70 peak and off-peak resp.) Acid test: Yes we would stay at the hotel again when next visiting London.

Nothing of any great consequence. The failed spotlight over the picture in our room was not the end of the world and it did not spoil our stay!!!!

Very close to train station. The room was clean and beds were comfortable.

We waited a long time for our twin room to be ready, despite being there after checking in time.

It's a relaxed, professional hotel that can be very good value for money. I stay there whenever I can.

Some rooms are a bit tired round the edges but overall fine.

Good Quality hotel. Staff extremely helpful, rooms kept very clean, restaurant excellent service and value for their gourmet dinners.

On trying to check in to this hotel, I was told my prepaid, confirmed booking, made a month in advance had been cancelled by the hotel two days earlier. No alternative accomodation was offered by the hotel. 2 other travellers were put in the same position as myself on the same night. All were left scrambling to find a hotel room in London at the last minute, which is very difficult at the best of times. My advice would be to avoid as you can't be sure that this hotel will not bump you at the last minute.

The staff at the hotel refused to allow me to stay because they were over booked even although I had booked 2 rooms and had reservations confirmed directly with the hotel reservations team (confirmed by email). My colleague and myself spent the rest of the evening and night walking the streets of Croydon looking for alternative accommodation. Disgraceful attitude, appaling customer service.

A lovely room, and breakfast, and excellent value for money!

Agood standard all round for the price. Staff especially friendly and helpful.
