Great rooms and lovely pool area.

Service is poor and slow. You are charged lots of extras, e.g. Coffee in the bedroom €2 per cup. There are not enough sunbeds and you have to be up at 7.30am to get one!

Ambiente muito agradavel. Pessoal muito simpatico mas algum pouco profissional. Excelente piscina mas com um piso envolvente pouco próprio.

A limpeza dos quartos não é brilhante. A qualidade das refeições não é compativel com um 5 estrelas.

Beds and linen were good quality. All rooms have sea-views. Outdoor pool and seating areas very pleasant.

We have stayed at this hotel (previously Atlantis/Vilamoura Beach Hotel) several times. It was always very clean,comfortable,quiet, good facilities, with friendly and helpful staff, and the buffet breakfast was excellent. Last year it was taken over by the Crowne Plaza group and completely remodelled. There is no Hotel Book in your room (as is the norm with this group) giving details of facilities, services, meal times etc and you now have to be an electronic genius to work out how to operate the lighting, the blinds between the bed area and the glass wall of the bathroom/toilet!!,the air-con etc. Staff at reception were not helpful, suggesting we find someone from housekeeping for practical help - no offer to do this for us. Use of the indoor pool/jacuzzi is 10 Euros per person per day - unsurprisingly we saw no-one in there. The in-room coffee-maker needed special "potlets" at 3.50 euros each, only producing lukewarm water if you wanted tea (using your own teabags). Corridors have low power lighting, dark brown doors and walls - very gloomy. Similarly the landings, with no furniture or pictures/plants. Our double room had one comfy chair and very small table, no in-room mirror (only one being in the bathroom). There was only one wicker chair and table on the balcony. Cooked buffet breakfast included scrambled eggs floating in liquid, fried eggs like rubber, "shredded" mushrooms - no sausages, tomatoes etc. This hotel was previously very popular, attracting long-stay guests particularly in the off-season months - this trade has clearly now been lost. It does not meet the standards expected and found in other hotels in this group (Intercontinental Hotels Group) We would definitely not stay there again - even if offered a free holiday there!

Would recommend even though it wasn't 5 star yet in my opinion. Not a great hotel for children even though they have a childrens pool and pirate ship area.

Fantastic pool area, and outside grounds were amazing. Very close to the beach and only 25mins by taxi from faro airport. Very clean and trendy hotel. Plenty of staff milling about. Resturant and food area was excellent. All rooms in hotel have a sea view. Ask for a pool view for fantastic views. Free internet access for guests. Free pool towels for guests. Close to casino in vilamoura. Hotel in quiet area.

Charge for indoor pool which is disgraceful for a 5 star hotel. Hotel not completly renovated when finished in 2011 it could be amazing. Hotel bar extremely expensive. No information in hotel about things to do around the area, no maps available for guests or recommend places of interest. Suppose you could get this info from internet. Access from hotel onto beach wasn't avail for guests during our stay which was a pain.

Close to beach, marina pubs, shops and resturants. Supermarket approx 8min walk away. Public transport links just outside hotel. Watersportshire avail from the marina, but again very expensive.

The pool was beautiful. The room was lovely, especially the bathroom. It was all very nicely decorated. The movie deal was good value. The beanbag sun loungers were great; comfortable and looked good.

The check in staff could have been a lot more friendly and accommodating. There should be some way of stopping people "saving" sun loungers by the pool all day when they aren't using them. Also, the towels by the pool should just be handed out.

Esta muy bien ubicado, sus instalaciones muy nuevas y bonitas, el entorno muy agradable, me ha gustado mucho.

El personal de la recepción bastante antipaticos, a diferencia del resto del personal que fueron muy amables y prestativos, la nevera de la habitación podrían poner bebidas y agua por comodidad del cliente, las toallas bastante pobres.

Excellent public areas. The bar, terrace and pools are very comfortable.

The bathroom/wc layout is awkward and shower controls difficult to reach unless in the shower.

A quality hotel with all the facilaties you would expect from a 5* hotel

The quality of the food could be improved on the a la carte menu. A more varied menu would help
