Craigiebield Hotel

Quiet locaion in rural surroundings. Food, including breakfast was of a good standard.

The hotel shows it's age. In need of a facelift.

i know i will be going up to stay again and this will be my choice when i stay with my wife n kids

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, its located on the edge of penicuik so is really quite, bus stop right outside the hotel, ideal for shoppers,picture perfict view, staff was freindly

I think my only problem was for the price i expected free wifi but even then i was not able to access in my room and had to sit in lounge. My only problem

loads, public park by the front door and plenty of fields around for couples with kids, there is a fitness center at the high school 2 minute walk from the hotel, plenty of walks for the more active stay that go for miles and miles into the hills ect. small town center is close to hotel so ideal for the quik stay, but the bus stop is right outside the hotel so regular trips to edinburgh is no problem and a night service for party pepole.

it was conveniently located for visiting friends.

there was a wedding reception in the hotel that night. our room was directly above the function suite. when I rang reception at 23.10 to enquire when the band would stop playing I was told midnight. The music finally stopped at 00.30. If I had known about the wedding I would certainly not have booked the room.

Staff so helpful and friendly, food amazing. lovely welcoming bar/lounge area with open fires and comfy sofas to relax. the locals come into the bar as well, showing its quality, but it wasnt too noisy, just a pleasant time being had by all. the whole experience was one of being welcomed into a friend's home. i will be going back

Only thing i can say is there was a teeny speck of mildew on one of the bathroom tiles, but that was the only negative!

Es war eigentlich alles wunderbar, lediglich die Hygiene des Kinder-Hochstuhls, der uns im Restaurant zur Verfügung gestellt wurde, war eine einzige Katastrophe - die Haltegurte waren so verdreckt, dass wir unser Kind nur sehr widerwillig damit festgeschnallt haben... Alles andere war ohne Beanstandung und wir wären auch gerne noch länger geblieben...

We kregen een kamer voor 2 personen terwijl wij voor 4 personen hadden gereserveerd. Verder konden wij bij aankomst niet inchecken, omdat de manager niet vindbaar was. Locatie en ruimte waren op zich goed, door voornoemde punten waren wij echter niet tevreden over het hotel.
