Hotel Ciutat de Barcelona

Nosotros habiamos contratado (y pagado unos 145€/noche) el hotel Ciutat de Barcelona pero nos desviaron al Ciutat Vella con una justificacion que parece de chiste: Cuando llegamos nos dicen que no tienen nuestra habitacion porque un huesped se ha puesto enfermo y se ha tenido que ir al hospìtal y su mujer se ha quedado en nuestra habitacion. Que si que tienen una habitacion de una cama, pero no una para dos personas. Asi que nos desvian al Ciutat Vella, a casi 2km de distancia en una zona que nosotros no queriamos y cuyo precio es menor (no se nos abona la diferencia) Todo parece una tomadura de pelo. Por la conversacion del empleado con el taxista nosotros tuvimos la impresion de que esto es una practica habitual entre estos dos hoteles de la misma cadena. Por otro lado habia mucho ruido en la calle durante toda la noche lo que nos impidio dormir

el desayuno muy pobre, aparte de eso había un solo salero para toda la sala del desayuno, y el camarero no entendí que la gente se quejaba

well located, the staff were friendly and the restaurant was good, although the breakfast price was expensive. The room was modern and clean.

Due to the hard surfaces used in the modern theme of the rooms, sound travelled and the rooms were noisy and sound from the corridors travelled. The rooms did not have any drawer space and this would have been useful during our stay.

As a 60 year old couple we would highly recommend the hotel to family and friends who appreciate a stylish and unobtrusive hotel, and excellent value for a major city hotel. Would definately stay there again.

In a good location to get the real feel of Barcelona. Within very easy reach of The Ramblas, Park, metro and shops. The staff were very helpful. It is furnished in a modern, stylish, minimalistic way with new fittings and furniture which were always clean. Bottled water was always available. Excellent value.

Asked for extra pillows which were brought to the room immediately.

Excellent location which enabled the major tourist attractions to be easily reached. 2 mins from the Picasso Museum. In the 'old town' therefore in the evenings local tapas bars and small boutiques could be found by wondering down the narrow side streets. Always something to see or do and 5 mins from the metro, but we walked to most places. Must do the 'bus sightseeing tour'.

A swish, modern smallish hotel in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. Near loads of restaurants and boutique shops. Metro 3 mins walk away. The road the hotel is on seemed quiet at nighttime (our room overlooked the street

Ontbijt matig, niet iedere dag hetzelfde en sommige zaken werden niet aangevuld(afhankelijk van welke medewerker het ontbijtbuffet verzorgde)
