EXCELENTE.....

The first thing that strikes you about this hotel is the musty smell as soon as you head for the rooms. The rooms are small and with temperatures outside in the thirties the room didn't even have a fridge not that there was room for one. This is supposed to be a 3 star hotel but they had no laundry service. The bathroom was very small and the shower like a telephone kiosk. At night, switch on the light and there were small cockroaches everywhere in the bathroom and some even in the bedroom. I paid an all in price for the room and breakfast but when we arrived for breakfast I was relegated to a small room where I was allowed coffee, fruit juice, cakes bread and jam. I was told I could use the main breakfast room if I paid an extra 5 Euros. I am now in my fourth hotel of this Italian holiday with hotels booked with breakfasts and all have been superb except for this one. Having viewed what was on offer for breakfast in the main room I declined to pay the extra. In Milan I stayed in a 3 star hotel where the breakfast was superb. This is the only hotel that I have been asked to pay extra having already booked the breakfast with my hotel booking. I have to say this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at and also one of the dirtiest.

Location. If you are going into Venice by bus this is a great spot.

Parking. There is no on site parking and the garage is a bit of a hike and it costs. Ideal if you wish to arrive leave the car and use the bus.

Shopping. Good shops in the area.

It was a suprise organised by my husband for my 50th birthday and I really enjoyed myself as did my family. The only problem was that they remained in Italy due to the English airports being closed with snow whilst we returned on time back to Spain!!!

I thought the hotel room was comfortable and clean. The reception staff were extremely helpful and provided us with clear information about local facilities and public transport. They were friendly and approachable. The breakfast staff were efficient too.

Only two things...the orange juice at breakfast was like watered down orange squash and the cleaning ladies woke us up very early with jovial banter in the corridor outside our room when we needed a bit of extra sleep after alot of travelling. Nothing drastic though.

There were an array of bars and shops locally and we were well placed to catch the bus into Venice.

Albergo ottimo per posizione e qualità/prezzo.... Nell'insieme tutto buono.
