staff very nice and helpful. room actually quite nice with balcony. clean and neat. breakfast buffet quite various. first impression is that the hotel is located in suburb and quite far but after checking around seems located near the normand castle and independance piazzaa near tube station direct to station or airport.
Food cafeteria ok for student as youth hostel (realised it upon arrival) but not great for tourists. little restaurant attached ok and cheap though food not varied. should advertised more they have an internet point for client as no sign.
normand castle and cathedrale or centre not quite far away. cuba also quite close. st giovanni but closed when i visited the city.

only the staff at the hotel made this trip tolerable,they are great. i wont be returning. too windy to go out,sea too rough to swim. too far to go anywhere to eat or sightsee. beach is man made and most of it ends up on the road in the wind. no public transport so lots of walking
easy to find. nice rooms,nice views, helpful nice staff,pushbikes to borrow to get into town,
long way from little town. no restaurants in area. bus service poor. always very windy,sea very rough

Palermo is a bit grubby but there are some nice areas mondella, montrea and the main station is handy for bus and train.There tourist information is a lot to be desired, your left to find everything out yourself,which is very frustrating.But once outside there are some beautiful places by train Cefalu and Taorimina.All in all it's a great island.
The staff were helpful and it was handy having the connecting restaurant.
The bathroom was very crampt and the shower was appalling the spray was none existant but even worse than that the cubicle was so small you had to stand half in half out whilst you washed,also the hotel is quite a distance from the main station at least half an hour on foot.
your near the Royal palace and surrounding gardens etc montrea is only a short bus ride away (outside back of palace) and is beautiful. there's a melon bar near the hotel open 24hrs which was fantastic in the very hot weather
