On the whole we enjoyed our stay. There was a mix up during check-in when the reception staff couldn't find our reservation but they cleared it up quite quickly. Our room was on the 8th floor and small with absolutely no view as we were facing a brick wall. I was hoping for something a little better. The continental breakfast was just about OK, but nothing special. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel staff were polite and courteous. The telephone bill was astronomical (2 short international calls I made came to almost 60 quid - of course if I'd known that I'd have gone elsewhere to call!) and I was charged for 2 daily papers that I never asked for. Apart from that the main advantage of this hotel is its location - as it is right next to the British Museum, plenty of music theatres, tube station, and its easy to get to all the famous sites in London. We got it for a good price, and I would stay there again, but I wouldn't want to pay full rate.

Good location. Good food. Concierge helpful.
Didn't have our booking from you. We had booked for English b'fast but every morning they had to check because their list said continental. Bar staff were extremely rude one evening about people from N Ireland - didn't know what cocktails they liked, should stick to sour cocktails, etc. They did apologise when we complained and pointed out we were from N Ireland. The best member of staff was from N Ireland. House keeping tried to come in when we were in bed one morning. They tried to get in early on the morning we were leaving and asked when they could come back.

Overall acceptable, but let down by confusion over our booking (inclusion of breakfast or not) which resulted in a long conversation with the duty manager at breakfast and the off-hand manner of the reception staff at check-in (sorting out paperwork was more important than customers stood at the desk (us) or on the 'phone).

Waiters and other staff very helpful, very professional. Restaurant and bar fine selection of menus and sandwiches
We had read on the internet that there was a balcony, but no. Windows could not open to let in fresh air.

Limpio, tranquilo y muy acogedor. Con buena situación y excelente servicio. En general me gustó mucho.
Excelente situación cercana a zona de compras (Oxford Street) y zona de copas (Soho).
