Centrally located , easy to locate and old world style. Lots of parking closeby and comfortably sized rooms. Large comfortable Beds and Clean rooms. Very helpful Reception staff. Moved me to a very nice room when my air conditioning malfunctioned.
The sound insulation between the street is quite bad. Normally this makes little difference as the Hotel is on a quite street. However to be woken up at 5am by a load noise and to find that it has started raining should not normally be a problem. However the guttering for the rain running outside my window had a metal base and thus the rain falling from the roof onto it caused a totally unreasonable amount of nose that could have been avoided if the the metal was coated in something. Thus my last nights sleep was ruined. Also as parking beside the hotel can be problematic at certain times of the day i would have though one space might have been reserved for guests to at least drive down for a few minuted to remove their luggage and then park elsewhere. This was not possible so i had to carry from luggage from a car parking space quite a distance away. As guests may arrive when the local tourist office is closed perhaps Town maps etc could be made more easily available as part of a welcome pack.
