Hotel Barcelo Atenea Mar

La habitación para minusvalidos esta muy mal planteada. El bidet y la taza no permite la enrtada de una silla de ruedas. El pomo de la puerta no permite abrirla del todo y dejar pasar una silla de ruedas. En resumen, un desastre

Me pareció un hotel de primera, muy limpio y desayuno de muy buena calidad. La habitación muy espaciosa con una cama "de lujo". En general muy acogedor y con una vistas estupendas al mar. Lamentamos mucho no haber podido quedarnos más tiempo para disfrutar de todo eso. Se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo.

Quizás lo único negativo que le veo es que no hay muy buena combinación de transporte para llegar al hotel, y es una pena porque la localización es una maravilla, pero tardamos mucho en llegar, y al volver al aeropuerto no tuvimos otra opción que el taxi porque nuestro avión salía a las 10.30 y no podíamos arriesgarnos a tardar tanto en llegar al aeropuerto como a la ida.

Excellent location for the clean beach which has sunbeds and parasols for hire and plenty of beach cafes and toilets. 41 bus to Catalunya stops next block every 10/15 minutes takes about 25 minutes 5 or 6 restaurants next block reasonable prices Reception and front lobby staff very pleasant , helpfull and efficient.

I wanted to log on to the internet on the lobby computers but found this impossible. There is a WiFi security programme to navigate which first involves membership and mobile phones and blocks progress if you do not have a mobile phone, to a first time user this procedure proved useless. Fortunately the reception staff were able to find out the information needed for me.

Few good quality restaurants, especially at the Marina, close by beaches, very good location for city's transprt (metro).

Sound-proof rooms, free wifi at the lobby, including two laptops. But better to bring your own, because they are too slow.

The room was good and clean but didn't like the beds especially because the single beds were joined to make a double bed. Free internet facility was good. Bus stops and beach very near by.

Took almost 2 hours to check in and hence wasted lot of time. Staff was not apologetic at all and when complained said we are not machines! You don't need 2 hours to get one room ready. There were other guests who came after us and got the rooms. Very annoying. Even after spending two hours to get the room ready they didn't put the extra blanket for the extra bed. when we informed this at night we were told they would send one after half an hour! No surprises, had to call the reception again after 45 min and finally got the blanket at 11.00pm! The used glasses IF taken were not replaced. The room did not have any tea/coffee facility. Nothing 4 star about the service quality. Breakfast was okay but almost the same everyday.Again nothing 4 star about it.The staff was okay but could do with some smile. Nothing about the hotel makes you feel welcome. Very very disappointed. You get better service even in a 3 star hotel.

Exceptionally helpful, efficient and pleasant staff. Cleanest hotel I have encountered for many years (and I'v stayed at lots for business and pleasure). All the facilities in the room worked and the place was spacious and excellent.
