I was actually quite satisfied with the hotel and its facilities, untill the day after we checked out only to find numerous items missing from our luggage. It seems that the chambermaid had taken a fancy to a pair of shoes, shorts, tank tops, a bra a skirt and a pair of jeans. I arrived back to the hotel to file a complaint, only to be shoved around like a hot potato with the desk manager claiming that the missing things had been left there by me as a gift. I was left feeling very helpless and saw little point in continuing to pursue the fact any more. Although as I said, we were happy enough with the hotel, I found the fact that the staff had rummaged through our things to take what they wanted, very disappealing, and thus would have to encourage anyone to steer well clear of this hotel. Avoid this hotel unless you lock your luggage up, or are prepared to to part with your things. In my opinion you would do much better and much cheaper, by booking your stay at a Casa particular in the close by town of Trinidad, and take the daily shuttlebus to the beach. The bus leaves 4x times a day each , and takes just over half an hour in each direction. Either , enjoy your holiday

The beach was beautiful and extremely close to the hotel.

The hotel itself was quite boring. Better suited for large groups of people travelling together. More atmosphere staying in Trinidad and travelling out to visit Ancon Beach.
