Thank goodness for the warm reception and lovely hotel staff. The rooms were great, they were very spacious, well equiped and very clean. I would have like to experienced the hotel when the facilities and entertainment is on.

We were so disappointed when we arrived last week w/c 1st April with 2 famlies, 4 children and nothing was open except the indoor pool. I would not have booked if we had known. I understand it was at the begining of the season but it was Easter and it fairly busy. I checked in advance of booking and First Choice assured me that kids facilities, splash park and entertainment was on throughout our stay. Clearly the hotel was not prepared. When we arrived everything was closed. It started to get better during the week but this did not help us particulalry with the bad weather, no entertainment, no kids clubs, the water park closed, games room closed, machines switch off, lawns were not cut, grass was growing up through the pool tiles. Thank god for indoor pool. When the reps eventually arrived on Monday, the kids club opened for only 2 afternoons out of the 7. They put on a quiz 1 night out of the 7. It also seemed harsh when my son asked if he could play tennis as he was so bored he asked to pay18 Euros for an hour. As there were no facilities I think this is unreasonable.. We have been to 4 other Holiday Villages to ensure we get the children entertained but we did not get this. I understand it is not the hotel but you promote yourselves as a first choice village so you need to ensure your guests are catered for. The biggest dissapointment however was the standard of the all inclusive food and drink. There were no bar snacks/food available so you had to pay 15 Euro for lunch and 17Euro for dinner. We decided to try it 1 night. We are not fussy eaters but the choice was so limited, pasta, Sardines (which was full of bones and no good for children) and piri piri chicken. This effectively was very dry small pieces of chicken with a dipping chilli sauce on the side in a tiny pot. The only pudding choices were cake, fruit or vanilla pudding (which had all gone) leaving us with cake and some oranges. Understanding it was at the begining of the season but there is no excuse for quality. I might have been sympathetic if the free wine was OK, but this was dreadful and undrinkable. I felt really sorry for the other guests. We were lucky we could afford to go out to eat. As there is nothing within walking distance you have to go by taxi but to add insult to injury we were charged 0.50c for a taxi call. May seem petty but when you are given no choice this seems annoying. It really would not take much to turn this review around. We had hoped to return because of the 2 bed apartment was fab but I really would struggle to take the risk. Food and drink quality woud be my biggest concern and there are so few beds when the sun did come out and many were broken. We may consider the sister hotel across the road for the summer as this seemed lovely, had a nice lunch menu and much cleaner.
