Rooms are basic but kept very clean. A very nice buffet breakfast.
Old town and market to the left of hotel and shops to the right. Lots of nice resturants nearby. Ideal position.

For the money we paid, about £120 per night we felt this was a very basic 3 star hotel in need of a refurbish, which seemed it might be starting as we left as new carpet was being laid in the corridors. There was little or no reception area, no bar or lounge and aslo no fridge facilities in the room, which is a consideration when the weather is very hot. Our shower had a serious leak which was affecting the electric light and the hair drier and they did repair this the same day we reported it. Not a hotel I would recommend unless you are happy with fairly basic accomodation.

Breakfast was a shambles, with inadequate staff attendance, one morning tables all dirty, one sole member apparently in charge, guest were ignored, the one member rushing around dementedly, seemingly not achieving much. The only way to get anything to eat was to be very assertive to the poor only member of staff, who seemed not up to the job.

A very nice location with easy access to the Promenade Anglais and the older part of Nice with its restaurants. No parking available at hotel, so had to leave car in the nearby car park at a cost of £17 overnight. There may have been other places to park vehicle, but Nice is a busy resort. Recommend the balcony view. I would say a reasonable choice for breakfast, but no cereals laid out. When busy, the one waitress was rushed off her feet slightly keeping up with replenishing the food.

Obviously a very old hotel, showing its age and needing more than cosmetic work. The room was high and thin; it seemed to be the result of a previous conversion of former grand rooms into lots of smaller ones. The room was clean but shabby. The textured wall plastering has not been a great success!
