We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday at this resort and hotel. Both are very family orientated, but as the children were so well behaved, not an issue for a couple on their own. Do be aware that the hotel site is on a hill, which may be an issue for some with young children. The paths are wide and fine for buggies though. Would not recommend for the elderly/less mobile. Great for walking off holiday excesses though! Predominately Spanish/German guests. English is spoken everywhere, but do not take it for granted. If you are learning Spanish, an ideal resort to test it out in! Go before it becomes commercialised! A great little find.
Great looking white accommodation blocks, only three storeys high. Grounds kept immaculate. Two pool areas, different atmospheres. Lots of facilities. Very quiet and peaceful. Studio apartments are a good size, consist of bedroom area/living area, kitchenette, bathroom. Balcony. Ample storage. Air conditioning and ceiling fan which you control. Safe to hire. Fixtures/fittings 3*/3*+ rather than 4* though. Spotlessly clean.
The reception/dining room staff. Training in people skills required. No service with a smile. Did deal with queries sufficiently, but did not go out of their way. Some may perceive their manner as offhand. Lack of understaffing in these two areas may be some of the problem. Could not fault groundsmen or maids though - excellent! No kettle or toaster in apartments. Lack of resort information, eg map, facilities etc
Excellent fine, white, sandy beach with shallow water ideal for children/less confident swimmers - wonderful colours! Parasols/sunloungers available to hire, toilets available, lifeguard, watersports for hire. Two chill-out bar/cafes, both good, one on beach, one at other end of resort but well worth going to as well (Pangpa and Chilloutport respectively)! Very good restaurants on the beach - C'as Mila, Posada del Sol and Yuccas. Good eateries in San Jose also. Suggest B&B at hotel is your best option rather than HB/FB. Ideal resort for "fly and flop" type holiday. Approx 20 minutes from airport. Quite remote, so if you like to explore, car hire recommended. Spar in village centre for fresh fruit/veg and other requirements. Usual shops selling beach wear/souvenirs on way into the village.
