Apartamento Canaima

Recomendable, teniendo en cuenta el bajo coste, pero teniendo en cuenta los malos comentarios que he dicho. Volvería, si quisiera tener vacaciones por un presupuesto limitado, aún en temporada alta.Y llevando muchas cosas de casa...

El apartamento es bastante amplio. Está medianamente limpio. Buena relacion calidad- precio. Situación tranquila en Puerto Rico.

La limpieza, al llegar el apartamento olía a tabaco, incluso esa noche la pasamos muy mal, por el fuerte olor que allí había. Debajo de las camas no limpiaron, porque estaba lleno de polvo. En el apartamento había una fregona limpia y un cubo y con eso limpie y refresque el ambiente, junto a un buen ambientador de limón. Nada más llegar el recepcionista, debió verme con cara de persona que le gusta la fiesta que me advirtió diciendome... " CUIDADO LOS DUEÑOS DEL COMPLEJO ESTAN JUSTO DEBAJO DE TU HABITACIÓN..." A lo que le respondí que tranquilo, nosotros somos 2 personas tranquilas. No obstante, sino le interesaba, haberme dado otra habitación... atender de otra manera... porque se pasaba el día fumando en la pequñísima recepción, lo cual no genera buena imagen. Con la chica de limpieza bien. Le advertimos desde el primer día que no queríamos limpieza, que la haríamos nosotros. Solo queríamos cambios de toallas (1 solo cambio en 6 días, por cierto),papel higiénico y retirar basura. No nos gusta que entren en nuestro apartamento, aun así haber advertido, me dijo que era imposible, que le obligan a controlar todo; esta parte la entiendo. Y por último, mi queja con respecto a los gatos, se pasaban el día en nuestra terraza. Una noche dejamos una chaqueta en la terraza y por la mañana alli estaba el gato acurrucado a la chaqueta...!!! Y lo mismo nos paso otro dia con las toallas.... un asco.... NO creo que sea tiquismiquis, pero me gustan las cosas mínimamente limpias y que no den repelús de estar allí.... La vasija en mal estado, las cortinas oliendo a tabaco... al igual que las colchas... el sillon.... etc...

The rooms are kept very clean its nice and close to the commerical centre where all the bars and restaurants are

it could do with a lick of paint,plenty of cats around.also the tvs could do with retuning only 4 spanish channels all the english speaking ones were half tuned.They dont change the bedsheets all week but if you half a word with cleaner for a small gratuity shell change them

commerical centre is 5 minutes walk down the steps Amadores beach is 5 mins in a taxi.All the ferries are also 5 mins away in the marina take a trip to Mogan its beautiful.

The Canaima would not be suitable for people who don't like cats. There are quite a few living in the grounds, but they don't bother you unless you feed them which is discouraged. They are well fed by the management.

We have been going to the Canaima for many years and it suits us well

It is looking a bit 'tired' now. Although some painting and refurbishment has taken place to improve things some of the walls are a bit flaky in parts

It is close to the Commercial Centre where there are lots of restaurants and shops and if you go down to the harbour there are trips available

Pool area nice and quiet and clean

Reception staff not very friendly and not great english. The day before we left we asked receptiont to ring for us a mini bus which we got the no. at Las plamas airport. He told us not to bother with them as he would organize transport for us by someone he knew. On the day we were leaving no transport waiting for to take us to airport. Another rec. was on and said that he knew nothing about transport being arranged. He ended up having to call us a taxi which cost much more that mini bus priced arranged. We ended up being late for our check in and we were very annoyed. No communication being staff. Also bedrooms were crusty, holes in the sheets and insects in on the sofa bed in living area. Put this way would not stay again.

Staff were friendly and helpful, room's were spacious, clean and tidy, what more do you need for a base while on holiday !!

There are a few cats based at the hotel, but they are not a problem. Don't talk to them and they won't follow you. Advertised maid service....towels supposed to be changed 3 times per week, sheets changed 2 times per week. We had towels changed once and the sheets not all.

Aquapark, shopping centre

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment but when we arrived it was 2300 at night and the man on reception didnt speak any english and gave us a 1 bedroom apartment and kept on telling us to come back tomorrow. The manager sorted it out the next day but for that first night it was poor service to put us all in a 1 bedroom when I specifically booked and paid for a 2 bedroom.

appartements waren ruim, bedden goed, bankstel graag iets dikkere kussens, baliemedewerkers behulpzaam, schoonmaaksters vriendelijk, kregen genoeg handdoeken en lakens.

Geen koffieautomaat (€ 1,50 per dag), geen Europese TV-kanalen, geen strijkijzer en strijkplank.
